$4560 is being spent on social media each year on average and a year (up massively from last year’s previous annual spend of $1970).
To get the most out of social media, it is important to consider which channels are right for your business. Our previous blog post goes into more detail on this. It’s important to have a presence on the social media channels that you believe your customers and audience use.
Don’t be afraid of posting either. Simple updates on product launches, changes in opening hours, festive messages and the like go a long way to keeping your company and your brand top of mind. To make it feel less overwhelming it actually helps to outline when you will post on a calendar. That way you have a plan to work to and don’t have to be stuck for ideas.
You should also track your social media to see how it’s performing. Insights are available within the social media platforms themselves to show you any changes for example with Facebook you can get insights on how many “like” your business, have engaged with you and have seen your post. In addition, Google Analytics is really useful as it can be used to determine where traffic to your website is coming from. Once you know which social media sites are delivering the best results (by way of interaction with your company, shares and increased traffic to your website) focus on those and keep posting as often as possible.
If you simply don’t have the time to focus on social media marketing (as is often the case with Small Businesses) have no fear. Woocom is here. Call us on 1300 266 966.
